Note Signed by Caleb Heathcote, ca. 1701

This note, signed by Caleb Heathcote, assigned 50 pounds sterling to the English crown to be delivered by a Thomas Arison. Although the note is not dated, it is believed to be an expression of Heathcote’s allegiance to the crown in return for the crown granting him the Manor of Scarsdale on March 21, 1701.
