This charming paper
doll, with a photo of the face of your favorite little girl as well
as her complete wardrobe, was available in the 1930s at Playland
Park, Westchester’s National Landmark amusement park, which
celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2003. This doll, included among
the plans, correspondence, inventories, brochures, and other records
relating to the various concessions at Playland puts a personal
face on a place that has long been a favorite Westchester destination.
The Archives also holds some of Playland’s administrative
records, and an extensive photographic collection of the park and
its patrons from the late 1920s and the 1930s.
